Big Boy Bed

Gage transitioned from crib to bed with ease. After breaking it in by hosting a jumpfest with big sister, he settled down to sleep shortly after pulling the covers up on himself while cuddling with some cars.

They never forget the crazy baby!

At the start of music class, with a bunch of my friends and our second children in attendance, the teacher announced that she hoped this group would not be like the group she had a few years ago when all our older children signed up for one class?!?!!!

Zoo

Great time at the Central Park Zoo pretending to be a spider (Austen) eating a fly stuck in her web (Gage). I cannot believe how much Gage loves Beerinder. He spots him on the streets of Manhattan and starts chanting, “Chacha, Chacha!”

Sounds and Words

Like his big sister, Gage likes animal sounds at almost 2. Unlike his big sister, he’ll sit still while you read him a book (especially if there are cars in it, trains in it, or animals he likes to mimic in it) and seems interested in letters — but this is probably because he loves to copy his big sister.

He’s speaking in two word sentences. “My ball!” “Austie school!” when Austen’s going to school. “Mama’s bottle” while holding up my iced tea cup. “Car! Car! Bus! Bus! Choo Choo!”
